Our Story
In the late months of 2020, the Holy Spirit ignited a profound realization in Matt's heart—an understanding that the first two decades of his ministry were a divine preparation for the next 20 years and beyond. Fueled by this revelation, Matt, a seasoned coach, team-builder, and speaker, took a bold step of faith and launched Enhance Ministries as a 501c3 non-profit. Since that pivotal moment, God has been at work, intricately refining and advancing the mission and functionality of Enhance Ministries.
Our purpose is clear: coaching healthy leaders who lead healthy fruitful ministries. Witnessing God's unmistakable hand in this journey is nothing short of thrilling. We are fully aware that we are not merely charting a course for our ministry but faithfully following God into a future marked by even greater Kingdom fruitfulness.

Matt Swigart
Welcome to the heart and soul of Enhance Ministries, where a passion for empowering churches and leaders to thrive is brought to life by our founder and executive director, Matt Swigart.
Matt’s ministry journey began over two decades ago, fueled by an unshakable faith and an unwavering commitment to serving the Kingdom of God. It all started with a call to make a difference, a call that led him to the frontlines of church leadership.
Local Church Leadership
For 12 impactful years, Matt served as a vital leader at New Life Church of Woodbury, MN. There, he donned various hats, including Youth Pastor, Saturday Night Service Lead Pastor, and Elder. His journey in the local church ignited his passion for nurturing the spiritual growth of individuals and families.
Youth Ministry and Missions
Matt's dedication to youth ministry led him to lead short-term mission trips across the globe, from Honduras to Panama, New York City and Houston to Ukraine. Through these experiences, he witnessed the transformative power of faith in action and the impact of strong leadership.
Coaching and Youth Pastor Support
In 2012, Matt's ministry focus shifted to equipping and coaching youth pastors through his partnership with LEAD222, an international youth pastor coaching organization. He believes in nurturing healthy leaders who, in turn, lead healthy lives, families, and ministries.
Passion for Athletics and Coaching
Matt's love for athletics seamlessly blends with his coaching mindset. From coaching his children in baseball and basketball to leading high school basketball and baseball teams at New Life Academy, he understands the value of teamwork and authenticity.
University Coaching
Today, Matt also serves as the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at the University of Northwestern - St. Paul, where he continues to invest in students both on and off the court. He’s the all-time winningest coach in University of Northwestern’s history and also has the distinction of the most losses of any coach at UNW.
Founding Enhance Ministries
The birth of Enhance Ministries in late 2020 was a divine moment. Matt felt the Holy Spirit stirring in his heart, signaling that his first 20 years of ministry had uniquely prepared him for the next 20 and beyond. With unwavering faith, he stepped out to establish Enhance Ministries, a platform designed to see healthy leaders leading healthy fruitful ministries, strengthen partnerships, and create opportunities for greater Kingdom influence.
A Heart for Family
While Matt is a dedicated leader and coach, his primary ministry is to his family. He has been married to his wife, Christina, since December 2000, and they are blessed with three wonderful children: Caitlyn, Caleb, and Lucy.
Coaching and Leadership Philosophy
Matt's leadership style is guided by his commitment to be a warrior for Christ, a pillar for His Kingdom, and a source of inspiration and guidance for others. His various personality assessments, including the Strengths Finder, Myers-Briggs, and Enneagram, have equipped him to understand and maximize his leadership potential.
